How To Lock a File/Folder Without Using Software in Windows 8

In students PC ,There are many cool stuff and thing (like interesting software ,video etc) which they want to protect or hide from others like younger or elder brother .But for protecting a file is not easy job .Many of us make the windows password protected .By doing this interest of other towards your stuff will increases Or also this is not sufficient because whenever your windows is  open they can easily access them .But in my method nobody can access lock file .So in this post ,I am going to tell you about locking the file and folder without using software .you can lock your folder with help your windows technique no other software needs to install in your computer.

Step-1 First right click on folder\file.Select sharing option on the menu bar.

Step-2 Then you see "Advanced sharing" option,select that option by clicking on it .

Step-3 After that click on "Share this folder" option then you will find  more option .Please do not click any other option 

Step-4 Then select "permission" option.

Step-5 After that new dialog is open where you remove all the user by selecting "remove"button.

Step-6 Then click on apply button.

Step-7 Then select "security"option then click "Advanced" button.

Step-8 Select "Disable inheritance",apply ok.

Finish ,for open that file you add user as you want........
  

In above method ,we are using sharing rule for file in windows to lock our file and folder.If you change sharing setting of file and folder .Nobody has access to open that file .By this method you can also lock some software easily .
